“You have already flown such a great distance, yet you haven’t flown as far as you can. Fly beyond where your vision takes you at this moment. As far as you can see today is not nearly as far as you will see tomorrow. Go ahead, fly.” - R. Harold

What do you do at Verner?
I supervise the Family Advocate team, run the Mothers On the Move program, carry a small caseload on the Home Based team, help coordinate Play and Learns for Home Based socials, facilitate Circle of Security groups and coordinate events for families.
What are your credentials/past experiences, for working in your position? I have close to 15 years of experience with children and families with most being at Verner. I hold a Bachelors Degree in Human Services, an Infant Toddler Certificate, trained in Circle of Security, Triple P Level 2,3 and discussion groups, trained in Parents as Teachers and have a heart that doesn’t stop working for the families I am fortunate to work with!
What do you like about working at Verner?
Verner has become a family to me. The people I work with and have worked with in the past are some of my most dearest treasures. Both staff and families are the most wonderful people you will find! Everyone is committed to the same goal and knows how to show up and “be with” one another. Verner is truly a place where children, families and staff can thrive!
What do you enjoy doing when you are not working?
I love spending time with my sweet fur babies, friends and family. I love to travel to new places, with a heart for Central America. I enjoy decorating, organizing and I also love to be outdoors in the sun, at the beach or near water!
