Monthly Tuition Rates for Tuition Based Childcare

Monthly tuition depends on the program option and the age of your child. Tuition rates are:

• Infants (class size of 8): $1,505
• Toddlers (class size of 10): $1,317
• Twos (class size of 12): $1,233
• Preschool (class size of 18): $1,096
• Returning Fee: $95
• Initial Enrollment Fee: $115

Waitlist and Turnover

Due to the high demand for childcare, a waiting list is in place for all ages at each center. The waiting list is not based on a first come first served model. Instead, it is determined by turnover in a particular classroom to replace the slot for that child’s age. Additionally, Verner maintains a commitment to a blended enrollment including 50% low-income families and at least 10% children with a special need. Most openings occur between May and September, as our preschoolers move on to kindergarten, but occasionally openings happen mid-year.

Child Care Subsidy or Voucher Program

Buncombe County offers a Child Care Subsidy Program. If you already have child care vouchers, fill out our enrollment application to be added to our wait list. ​Please note that in order for Verner to provide high-quality early care and education, families with full-time vouchers will be asked to pay the difference between the subsidy payment and our tuition rates.

This program assists eligible families with a portion of their child’s tuition costs. In broad terms, families that might qualify would include:

• Parents of certain income levels who are working 30 hours a week or more, or going to school full-time, or a combination of the two.
• Guardians that have been assigned custody of a child.
