Early Head Start

Early Head Start is a federally funded, community-based program for low-income pregnant women and families with infants and toddlers under the age of three.

NC Pre-K

The NC Pre-Kindergarten Program is a program of the Division of Child Development and Early Education in the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services. The program is designed to provide high-quality educational experiences to enhance school readiness for eligible four-year-olds.

Family Empowerment Program

Our Family Empowerment Program provides families with the educational, financial, and emotional support they need to continue and complete their education. Participants’ children receive high-quality early care and education

Rainbow In My Tummy®

Rainbow In My Tummy® is a comprehensive nutrition education program designed to help early care and education centers improve the quality of food they serve and improve the food culture surrounding young children.

Verner Experiential Gardens (VEG!)

Verner Experiential Gardens (VEG!) at North Carolina Outward Bound School. Verner classes visit the garden for guided nature experiences led by an intern or a partner from the Roots Foundation.
